FindTheBest went out and crunched the numbers to compare over 600 cities in the USA to figure out which cities and towns across the US had the highest costs of living. The arrived at their numbers by crunching 6 different sets of numbers such as housing, healthcare and taxes. The United States average index is set at 100% percent, so a city with 80% index would be 20% cheaper then average, a city with a 200% index would be 100 percent more expensive then average.
